Ben Van De Bunt
Co-Founder
Ben Vandebunt has made a career of working with extraordinary people and organizations and trying to make them better. He was the longtime CEO of Guthy|Renker and has been instrumental in launching and growing numerous successful businesses. Ben has had founding roles in Nestidd, CypressCreek, GoodLeap, GoodFinch, Rosewood Homes, AspenCreek, along with being an early employee (Guthy|Renker) and investor (Inspire Energy, ParamountSolar, Omni Energy). He has served on numerous governing boards in the corporate and nonprofit sectors, including HOULIHAN LOKEY, Solar City, Beachbody, St. John’s hospital, Guthy|Renker, Rosewood homes, Inspire Energy, and the Alliance for Children’s Rights. Ben’s entrepreneurial approach to solving social problems stems from his experience building globally thriving businesses providing clean energy solutions and housing for adults with developmental disabilities. His core philosophy involves starting and growing businesses that maximize outcomes on a risk adjusted basis, and this has led him to pursuing opportunities that “do good while doing well” which he believes increases consumer support and decreases third party risk. Ben now shares and builds on this philosophy with college students as an Adjunct Professor at the USC Marshall school of business, where he teaches with his wife, Laura Fox. Ben received an undergraduate degree from UCLA and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
